Identity card authorization for customs broker employees enables business transactions subject to broker licence validity and examination requirement. Identity card authorization permits a named employee of a licensed customs broker to transact business at a specified customs station for a stated period or until the principal's licence is cancelled; the card, signed and sealed by the Deputy/Assistant Commissioner of Customs, records the employee's name, specimen signature, PAN, broker name and licence number and requires that the employee has passed the prescribed examination.
