        Restriction on associations: depositories must not associate with unregistered advisers or claimants without permission, protecting investors. Restriction on association bars a depository or its agent from associating, directly or indirectly, with persons who provide securities advice or make claims about returns unless such persons are registered with or permitted by the Board; associations through a specified digital platform with Board satisfactory preventive and curative safeguards are exempt.
