Co-operation obligations for depositories require active support to enable effective, prompt and accurate clearance and settlement of securities. Regulation 55 requires every depository to extend co-operation to beneficial owners, issuers, issuers' agents, custodians of securities, other depositories and clearing organisations as necessary for the effective, prompt and accurate clearance and settlement of securities transactions and the conduct of business.
