of <h1>Regulation 12 for sub-broker registration omitted; changes effective April 2019, impacting certification and conditions.</h1> Regulation 12 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Stock Brokers) Regulations, 1992, which detailed the procedure for the registration of sub-brokers, was omitted effective April 1, 2019, by a notification issued on July 30, 2018. Previously, it required the Board to issue a certificate in 'Form E' to eligible sub-brokers and notify the relevant stock exchange(s). The regulation also allowed the Board to impose terms and conditions as specified in sub-regulation (1) of regulation 12A when granting registration.
