Registration of partner changes: LLPs must notify the Registrar of partner admissions, cessations and address changes or face penalties.
Section 25 requires every partner to inform the LLP of any change in name or address within fifteen days, and requires the LLP to file with the Registrar within thirty days when a person becomes or ceases to be a partner or when a partner's name or address changes. Notices must be in prescribed form, accompanied by prescribed fees, signed by the designated partner and authenticated; incoming partner notices must include the incoming partner's signed, authenticated consent. Non-compliance attracts penalties. A person ceasing to be a partner may file the notice himself, and the Registrar will register it if the LLP does not confirm within fifteen days.
