of <h1>Section 18 Omitted: LLP Name Change Procedure Removed by 2021 Amendment Act, Effective April 1, 2022.</h1> Section 18 of the Limited Liability Partnership Act, 2008, which addressed the procedure for entities to request a name change of a limited liability partnership (LLP) due to similarity, was omitted by the Limited Liability Partnership (Amendment) Act, 2021, effective from April 1, 2022. Previously, entities with similar names to a subsequently incorporated LLP could apply to the Registrar for a name change direction, provided the application was made within 24 months of the LLP's registration. This provision is no longer in effect following the amendment.
