<h1>Non-compliance with Consumer Protection Act orders can lead to imprisonment, fines, or both under Section 27.</h1> Under Section 27 of the Consumer Protection Act 1986, if a trader, person, or complainant fails to comply with an order from the District Forum, State Commission, or National Commission, they face penalties of imprisonment from one month to three years, a fine between two thousand and ten thousand rupees, or both. The District Forum, State Commission, and National Commission have the authority of a Judicial Magistrate of the first class for trying offences under this Act, and such offences may be tried summarily by these bodies.
