The National Commission has original jurisdiction to entertain consumer complaints meeting the statutory high-value threshold and related compensation claims, and appellate jurisdiction over State Commission orders; it also may call for records and pass orders where a State Commission has acted without jurisdiction, failed to exercise jurisdiction, or acted illegally or with material irregularity.
