<h1>Appeals to National Commission under Consumer Protection Act must be within 30 days; late appeals need valid reasons.</h1> Any person aggrieved by an order of the State Commission under the Consumer Protection Act, 1986, can appeal to the National Commission within thirty days from the order date. The National Commission may accept appeals filed after this period if there is a valid reason for the delay. Additionally, if the appellant is required to pay an amount as per the State Commission's order, the appeal will only be entertained if fifty percent of the amount or thirty-five thousand rupees, whichever is less, is deposited in the prescribed manner.
