of <h1>Authority Chair and Members appointed by Central Government on Selection Committee recommendation; two-year terms until 65, over-62 ineligible.</h1> The rule provides that the Authority's Chair and Members are appointed by the Central Government on a Selection Committee's recommendation; the Chair and Technical Member receive fixed salaries and allowances analogous to equivalent Group A government posts, with retired officers' pay reduced by pension. Terms are two years or until age 65, whichever is earlier, and incumbents are eligible for reappointment; a candidate exceeding 62 years is ineligible for selection. The Central Government, with the Council Chairperson's approval, may terminate the appointment of the Chair or Technical Member. Some historical salary and proviso text has been amended or omitted.
