of <h1>Rule 122 omitted: GST anti-profiteering Authority composition requirement removed; Chair and four tax commissioner Technical Members dropped 1 December 2022</h1> Rule 122 previously prescribed the constitution of an anti-profiteering Authority under the GST framework, requiring a Chair equivalent in rank to a Secretary to the Government of India and four Technical Members who are or have been State or Central tax Commissioners (or equivalent) with at least one year's service, to be nominated by the Council. The provision was inserted in 2017 and subsequently omitted effective 1 December 2022.
