          <h1>Consumer Welfare Fund credited with specified excise and customs duties and investment income to finance consumer welfare.</h1> The Consumer Welfare Fund is established by the Central Government and shall be credited, in such manner as may be prescribed, with specified amounts of excise duty, specified amounts of customs duty, income from investment of amounts credited to the Fund, and any other moneys received by the Central Government for the purposes of the Fund; a later provision adds certain surplus amounts from the Finance Act to the Fund.
