of <h1>India Applies Central Excise Act Provisions to Clean Energy Cess via Notification No. 02/2010 by Ministry of Finance</h1> The Government of India, through Notification No. 02/2010, announces the applicability of certain provisions of the Central Excise Act, 1944, to the Clean Energy Cess imposed under the Finance Act, 2010. This includes sections 5A, 6, 9, 9A, 9AA, 9C, 9D, 9E, 11, 11A, 11AA, 11AB, 11AC, 11B, 11BB, 11C, 11D, 11DD, 11DDA, 12A, 12B, 12C, and 12D, as well as Chapters III, VI, VIA, and VIB. The notification is issued by the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, and is intended for publication in the Gazette of India.
