Opportunity of being heard preserved; adjudicating authority may grant adjournments for sufficient cause, subject to limits. Adjudicating authorities must afford a party an opportunity of being heard in proceedings under the Chapter or other Act provisions when requested. They may grant adjournments and time extensions for sufficient cause at any stage, recording reasons in writing, but must observe statutory limits on the number of adjournments allowed to a party to prevent undue delay.
