Power of Registrar to obtain information: Registrar may compel answers, declarations or summons persons to supply particulars for compliance. The Registrar may require any person connected to a limited liability partnership, including present or former partners, designated partners or employees, to answer questions, make declarations or supply particulars in writing within a reasonable period when necessary to carry out the Act. If responses are absent or unsatisfactory, the Registrar may summon the person to appear before the Registrar, an inspector or a designated public officer to give answers or particulars; failure without lawful excuse to comply with a summons or requisition attracts a monetary penalty under the Act.
