Clause 31 - Whistle blowing

Whistleblowing protections allow courts to reduce penalties and forbid retaliation when insiders provide information leading to convictions.

Court and tribunal discretion permits reduction or waiver of penalties on partners or employees of a limited liability partnership where they provide useful information during investigation or where information supplied (whether during investigation or otherwise) leads to conviction; additionally, such partners and employees are protected from discharge, demotion, suspension, threats, harassment or other discrimination in terms and conditions of partnership or employment solely for providing or causing provision of such information.
