<h1>LLPs Require Two Designated Partners: One Must Be Indian Resident; File Details Within 30 Days of Appointment</h1> Every limited liability partnership (LLP) must have at least two designated partners, with at least one being a resident of India, defined as staying in India for at least 182 days in the preceding year. If all partners are corporate bodies, at least two individuals must act as designated partners. Designated partners are specified in the incorporation document or determined by the LLP agreement. An individual must consent to be a designated partner, and the LLP must file their particulars with the registrar within 30 days of appointment. Designated partners must obtain a Designated Partner Identification Number (DPIN) from the Central Government.
