LLP Bill Clause 15: LLPs must include 'LLP' in name and avoid undesirable or similar existing names.
Clause 15 of the Limited Liability Partnership Bill, 2008, mandates that every limited liability partnership (LLP) must include 'limited liability partnership' or the acronym 'LLP' in its name. It also prohibits the registration of LLPs with names deemed undesirable by the Central Government or those that are identical or closely resemble existing partnership firms, LLPs, corporations, or registered trademarks, including those pending registration under the Trade Marks Act, 1999.
