Registrar Can Strike Off LLPs Not Conducting Business Under Clause 75; Must Follow Prescribed Procedures and Offer Fair Hearing.
Clause 75 of the Limited Liability Partnership Bill, 2008, grants the Registrar the authority to remove a limited liability partnership (LLP) from the register if there is reasonable cause to believe it is not conducting business or operations as required by the Act. The process for striking off an LLP must follow prescribed procedures. Before taking such action, the Registrar is obligated to provide the LLP with a reasonable opportunity to present its case.
