of <h1>Entities Can Request LLP Name Change Within 24 Months Under Clause 18 of the 2008 Bill, Referencing Section 17.</h1> Clause 18 of the Limited Liability Partnership Bill, 2008, allows an entity with a name similar to a subsequently incorporated limited liability partnership to apply to the Registrar for a directive to change the LLP's name. This application must be made in the prescribed manner and is based on grounds specified in section 17. The Registrar will only consider such applications if they are submitted within 24 months of the LLP's registration under the contested name.
