of <h1>Income-tax Act Section 296 Amended: Includes Rules by Settlement Commission, Advance Rulings, and Appellate Tribunal Effective June 1994.</h1> Section 296 of the Income-tax Act is amended to include references to procedural rules established by the Settlement Commission under sub-section (7) of section 245F, the Authority for Advance Rulings under section 245V, and the Appellate Tribunal under sub-section (5) of section 255. This amendment is effective from June 1, 1994, as per the Finance Act, 1994, enhancing the scope of rules applicable under the Act.
