Commencement: Finance Act sections largely deemed effective from the beginning of the financial year period. The Act is titled the Finance Act, 1994. Except as otherwise provided, sections 2 to 59 (except section 26) are deemed to have come into force on the first day of April 1994, aligning those operative provisions with the start of the financial year.
