of <h1>Amendment to Section 269ST: Transactions Now Permitted via Bank Accounts or Prescribed Electronic Modes Effective September 2019.</h1> Section 269ST of the Income-tax Act has been amended by the Finance (No. 2) Act, 2019, effective from September 1, 2019. The amendment replaces the term 'bank account' with 'bank account or through such other electronic mode as may be prescribed,' allowing for transactions to be conducted not only through bank accounts but also via prescribed electronic modes.
