Excise duty rate amendment replaces the per litre levy entry for specified schedule items with a new fixed levy. The amendment substitutes, in the Sixth Schedule of the Finance Act, 2018, the entry in column (3) against Item Nos. 1 and 2 with a new per litre levy, thereby replacing the prior schedule entry for those items.
