<h1>Fit and Proper criteria determine credit rating agency registration, using intermediary schedule standards for assessment.</h1> Determination of fit and proper status for applicants and credit rating agencies is to be made by taking into account the criteria set out in Schedule II of the Intermediaries Regulations, 2008; Regulation 5A, as substituted, directs the Board to rely on those intermediary criteria when assessing fitness for registration under the Credit Rating Agencies Regulations, replacing the earlier provision that applied the 2004 Criteria for Fit and Proper Person Regulations insofar as practicable.
