of <h1>SEBI Must Offer Hearing Before Rejecting ESG Rating Certificate; Reconsideration Available Within 30 Days of Notice.</h1> If the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) decides not to grant a certificate to an applicant under the ESG Rating Providers regulations, the applicant is given a chance to be heard before the application is rejected. SEBI must inform the applicant of its decision and the reasons within thirty days. If the applicant is dissatisfied with the rejection, they may request reconsideration in writing within thirty days of receiving the decision notice. SEBI is then required to review the reconsideration request and communicate its decision in writing promptly.
