of <h1>SEBI Mandates ESG Rating Providers to Submit Activity Reports and Financial Statements Under 1999 Regulations</h1> ESG rating providers are required to submit information requested by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), including reports on their activities, within a specified timeframe. Additionally, they must provide SEBI with copies of their financial statements at the end of each accounting period, following the manner specified by the Board. These requirements were introduced through a notification dated July 3, 2023, as part of the SEBI (Credit Rating Agencies) Regulations, 1999.
