Cre che facility requirements for establishments include staffing, amenities, access rules, and monthly allowance where care is not provided. Establishments with fifty or more employees must provide and maintain a cre che for children below six years, with adequate accommodation, sanitary conditions, safe access, staffing, equipment, feeding arrangements, first aid, kitchen facilities and wholesome refreshments. An agreement with a negotiating union, negotiating council or majority of employees may provide for cre che facility under section 67 or monthly cre che allowance for eligible women, widower or single parent employees if the facility is not provided, subject to a minimum allowance per child and a two-child limit except in cases of multiple births.
