Employee insurance registration on the portal governs allotted insurance numbers, identity cards, and contribution filing obligations. The employer must register a newly engaged person on the specified portal before or on the day of employment, unless already registered under Chapter IV of the Code, by entering the employee's name, Aadhaar number and other required particulars. An insurance number is automatically allotted and remains valid for thirty days.
