Exemption application views must be forwarded within six months, with time extension or further action available if delayed. The Central Board or the Corporation must forward its views on an application seeking exemption under section 143 to the appropriate Government within six months of receipt of the proposal for exemption. If those views cannot be provided within that period, the appropriate Government may extend the time limit or take action on the application as it deems fit.
