of <h1>Finance Bill 2019 proposes to amend Finance Act 2018, raising road and infrastructure cess on petrol and diesel.</h1> Clause 201 of the Finance (No. 2) Bill, 2019 proposes an amendment to the Finance Act, 2018. This amendment seeks to revise the Sixth Schedule by increasing the road and infrastructure cess on motor spirit, commonly known as petrol, and high-speed diesel oil. The cess will be raised from 8 per litre to 10 per litre.
