of <h1>Amendment to Section 11 of Central Road Fund Act: New Criteria for State Road Fund Allocation Proposed.</h1> Clause 183 of the Finance (No. 2) Bill, 2019 proposes an amendment to section 11 of the Central Road and Infrastructure Fund Act, 2000. It replaces sub-section (1) to specify that the allocation of funds for the development and maintenance of State roads will be determined by criteria formulated under clause (iv) of sub-section (1) of section 10. The allocation process will be finalized by a Committee as mentioned in section 7A, ensuring funds are directed towards projects of inter-State and economic significance.
