Amendment to Section 17: proviso to subsection (1) removed, altering statutory scope of obligations under the law. Amendment deletes the proviso to subsection (1) of section 17 of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002 by omission under Clause 190A of the Finance (No. 2) Bill, 2019, thereby changing the statutory constraint that previously applied to that subsection and altering the operative scope of obligations and powers under the provision.
