of <h1>Eligibility Criteria for Ombudsman Under SEBI Regulations: Citizenship, Age, Experience in Law, Finance, or Investor Protection.</h1> To be appointed as an Ombudsman under the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Ombudsman) Regulations, 2003, a candidate must be an Indian citizen of high moral integrity and at least 45 years old. The individual should either be a retired or eligible District Judge, have ten years of experience in a regulatory body, possess special knowledge and ten years of experience in law, finance, corporate matters, economics, management, or administration, or be an office bearer of a recognized investors' association with ten years of experience in investor protection.
