of <h1>Regulation 7 clarifies mandatory NISM qualifications for research analysts and associated persons to maintain continuous certification compliance</h1> Regulation 7 of the SEBI (Research Analysts) Regulations, 2014 prescribes minimum qualification and certification requirements for individual research analysts, principal officers of non-individual research analysts, partners, employees acting as research analysts, and persons associated with research services. They must hold either: (a) a graduate degree or equivalent, or a CFA Charter, along with relevant NISM or NISM-accredited certification, or (b) a Post Graduate Program in Securities Market (Research Analysis) from NISM or another NISM program specified by SEBI. All such individuals must obtain a fresh relevant NISM certification before the existing one expires or within three years from the date of registration, whichever is applicable, to maintain continuous compliance with certification requirements.
