of <h1>Section 165 Amended: Daily Penalty of 5000 Imposed for Ongoing Contraventions under Companies (Amendment) Ordinance, 2019.</h1> Section 165 of the principal Act has been amended to modify the penalty for continued contravention. The previous wording, which indicated a fine, has been replaced. The new provision imposes a penalty of five thousand rupees for each day after the first day that the contravention continues. This change was made under the Companies (Amendment) Ordinance, 2019.
