of <h1>Companies Face Penalties for Late Annual Returns Under Amended Section 92: Daily Fines Apply for Continued Non-Compliance.</h1> Section 92 of the principal Act has been amended to revise sub-section (5). If a company fails to file its annual return within the specified period, the company and each responsible officer will incur a penalty of fifty thousand rupees. For ongoing non-compliance, an additional penalty of one hundred rupees per day will be imposed, capped at a maximum of five lakh rupees.
