of <h1>New Section 87 Allows Rectification of Register Errors by Central Government If Errors Were Accidental or Inadvertent</h1> The Companies (Amendment) Ordinance, 2019 introduces a new Section 87, allowing the Central Government to rectify omissions or misstatements in the Register of charges. If a company or interested party demonstrates that such errors were accidental, inadvertent, or due to sufficient cause, and do not prejudice creditors or shareholders, the government may extend the time for notification or correct the errors. This rectification is subject to terms and conditions deemed just and expedient by the government.
