of <h1>Amendment to Section 248: New grounds added for company strike-off, including non-payment by subscribers and inactivity verification.</h1> Section 248 of the principal Act is amended to include new grounds for striking off a company. Clause (c) is modified to allow additional conditions for striking off. New clauses (d) and (e) are added: (d) if subscribers to the memorandum have not paid their subscription within 180 days of incorporation, and (e) if the company is not conducting business or operations as determined by a physical verification under section 12(9). These amendments aim to ensure compliance with initial financial commitments and operational activity requirements.
