of <h1>New Sub-Section 9 Empowers Registrar to Verify and Remove Inactive Companies from Register Under Chapter XVIII.</h1> Section 12 of the principal Act is amended to include a new sub-section (9). This provision allows the Registrar, upon having reasonable cause to believe a company is not conducting business or operations, to conduct a physical verification of the company's registered office. If a default is found in compliance with sub-section (1), the Registrar may initiate action to remove the company's name from the register of companies, as outlined in Chapter XVIII, without affecting the provisions of sub-section (8).
