Customs automated clearance allowed: electronic orders may be issued on risk evaluation through selection criteria. The amendment permits electronic issuance of customs orders through a customs automated system as an alternative to officer clearance, authorising such orders to be made on the basis of risk evaluation using appropriate selection criteria and substituting the proviso language to accommodate an automated-system clearance pathway.
