Notification requirement for import export restrictions: external trade controls must be notified under customs law before enforcement. The amendment requires that any prohibition, restriction or obligation on import, export or clearance of goods found in other laws, rules, regulations, orders or notifications shall be executed under the Customs Act only if it is notified under the Customs Act, subject to exceptions, modifications or adaptations the Central Government may deem fit and to a commencement date appointed by notification.
