          <h1>Contravention scope expanded to include breaches of Act provisions, rules, regulations, directions or orders-affects corporate enforcement.</h1> The amendment recharacterises breaches in section 24 from an offence to a contravention, replacing references to 'an offence' with 'a contravention of any of the provisions of this Act or any rule, regulation, direction or order made thereunder' and altering the marginal heading to 'Contravention by companies', thereby broadening the section to cover enforcement of the Act and subordinate instruments.
