of <h1>Directors and employees of reporting entities protected from legal action when providing info under PMLA Section 12(1)(b).</h1> Under the Prevention of Money-Laundering Act, 2002, as amended in 2012, reporting entities, including their directors and employees, are protected from civil or criminal proceedings when they furnish information as required under clause (b) of sub-section (1) of section 12. This immunity is subject to exceptions outlined in section 13. The amendment expanded the scope of protection from civil proceedings to include criminal proceedings and clarified the entities covered under this provision.
