Prosecutors in these proceedings are considered Public Prosecutors, with the Central Government having the authority to appoint Special Public Prosecutors for specific cases. To qualify as a Public or Special Public Prosecutor, an individual must have at least seven years of legal practice experience and specialized legal knowledge. All appointed prosecutors are recognized as Public Prosecutors under the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973.
