of <h1>Finance Act 2016 Omits Section 31 of Prevention of Money-Laundering Act 2002 on Tribunal Vacancy Procedure</h1> Section 31 of the Prevention of Money-Laundering Act, 2002, which addressed the procedure for filling vacancies in the office of the Chairperson or any other Member of the Appellate Tribunal, was omitted by the Finance Act, 2016, effective from June 1, 2016. Previously, it mandated the Central Government to appoint a replacement in accordance with the Act's provisions, allowing proceedings to continue from the stage at which the vacancy was filled.
