Bench jurisdiction: proceedings to be filed where the company's registered office is located, with regional venue flexibility. Proceedings must be instituted before the Bench within whose jurisdiction the registered office of the company is situated, except those before the Principal Bench. The Regulations allocate four Regions-Northern, Southern (including Additional Principal Bench), Eastern and Western-with ordinarily designated sitting places for each Bench. A Bench may, at its discretion, hold sittings elsewhere within the Region or outside the Region with parties' consent.
