of <h1>Constitutional Amendment: Article 371-F Updated to Shorten Term Limits by One Year Each</h1> Article 371-F of the Constitution has been amended by the Constitution (44th Amendment) Act, 1978. In clause (c), the term 'six years' is replaced with 'five years,' and 'five years' is replaced with 'four years' in both instances where it appears. This amendment came into effect on September 5, 1979, as per G.S.R. 529(E).
