of <h1>Securities Regulation 9, which guided renewal of registrar and share transfer agent certificates, was omitted in 2011 amendment.</h1> Regulation 9 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Registrars to an Issue and Share Transfer Agents) Regulations, 1993, which addressed the renewal of certificates for registrars to an issue or share transfer agents, was omitted by an amendment in 2011. Before its omission, the regulation allowed such agents to apply for certificate renewal three months before expiry, required a nonrefundable application fee, and stated that renewal applications would be processed similarly to initial certificate applications.
