of <h1>Parties Can Withdraw and Refile Combination Notices Under Regulation 16A, Adjust Fees if Refiled Within 3 Months</h1> Regulation 16A of the CCI (Procedure In Regard To The Transaction Of Business Relating To Combinations) Regulations, 2011, permits parties involved in a combination to request the withdrawal and refiling of a notice before the issuance of a notice under section 29(1) of the Act. If a notice is withdrawn, the fee paid can be adjusted against the fee for a new notice, provided the new notice is filed within three months of the withdrawal. This provision was inserted in 2018.
